Healthcare in the UK is accessed through the National Health Service (NHS). Residents can use medical services free of charge. The immigration health surcharge, which is usually levied on foreigners entering the country, is waived under the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

Upon arrival in the UK, you need to register with a general practitioner (GP). A consultation with your GP is usually enough to deal with your health problems. If you have a serious illness and require additional tests, examination or surgery, the GP will refer you to those services.
